6-ply sock wool is right in the middle: you knit faster than with classic 4-ply wool, but get a much finer result than with thick 8-ply yarn. Needle size 3.0 to 3.5 mm, fewer stitches than with 4-ply yarn – and yet
a sock that fits perfectly and keeps you warm. The Step 6 Color Exp from
Austermann is particularly popular: 150 g per ball is enough for a complete pair of adult socks, and the long color gradients automatically create colorful stripes without a single color change. Robust, soft and with the proven polyamide content for maximum durability at the heel and toe.
